Abstract:	The DiSSCo Prepare Deliverable D5.1 “DiSSCo Knowledgebase for technical development” describes the pilot implementation of the DiSSCo Knowledgebase (KB), available at https://know.dissco.eu/. This central and freely accessible hub for research outputs and technical documentation related to the Distributed System of Scientific Collections (DiSSCo) will facilitate efficient knowledge and technology transfer for partners building the DiSSCo technical backbone. The DSpace open source development system was chosen as a central document repository. Other components such as GitHub for software code and related issues and the different DiSSCo e-Services will be linked. This knowledge hub might act as an important source of information for not only DiSSCo partners but the whole community working with Natural Science Collections worldwide.
